Policies and Procedures
Minors
Patrons under the age of 16 are not permitted to participate in Group Fitness classes.
Registration
To attend a Campus Recreation Group Fitness class, please register via IMLeagues. Instructions for creating a free IMLeagues account can be found here.
You can register up to one week in advance of the scheduled class time. On-site, drop-in registration is permitted through the instructor, as long as space is available in the class.
If the IMLeagues website and/or app are ever down or inaccessible, classes will proceed as normal and you can participate without registering.
Initial Entry
Please arrive at the designated location 5-10 minutes before the start time of the class.
An instructor will check you in upon arrival and help you register if you haven’t already.
To ensure proper warm up, full understanding of the class structure, and an uninterrupted experience for participants, admittance may not be granted to anyone 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
What to Bring
Bring plenty of water to each class. Other beverages and food are not permitted.
Proper footwear is required during fitness classes. This includes closed-toe, closed-heel, non-marking athletic shoes. Five-finger shoes, boots, or sandals are not permitted. The only exceptions are for Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and Stretch & Mobility.
Small bags may be kept in the cubbies provided in each of the studio spaces. Securing personal items in lockers is strongly encouraged. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Participating in Classes
Work out at an intensity that is comfortable for your fitness level. Instructors will provide ample options and modifications to suit various fitness goals and levels.
If you have any injuries or need specific modifications, please talk to your instructor before class begins. They will be glad to assist you.
Space Usage
- Audio equipment is for instructor use only.
- Fitness equipment should be used for its intended purpose and must remain in the studio.
- The instructor reserves the right to ask a participant to leave if policies are not followed.
Class Cancellation Policy
In the event that there are no participants by the time class begins, the instructor will wait 10 minutes before canceling the class. The Fitness & Wellness Program reserves the right to cancel any class that has fewer than five (5) participants for three (3) consecutive weeks.
