Spring 2023 Hours
Yates Field House and Kehoe Field will operate on the following hours during the spring academic semester from January 11 to May 21, 2023.

Weather Scenarios & Operational Status
The operational status of Campus Recreation is determined by the overall status of the university as announced by DEMOC on the Georgetown University Operational Status webpage. The list below describes the Campus Rec status scenarios pending DEMOC announcements.
•Yates Field House and Kehoe Field open normal hours •LRED classes held unless notified otherwise by the instructor •Group Fitness ON as scheduled •Intramurals ON as scheduled
•Yates Field House and Kehoe Field open at Noon •LRED, Group Fitness – cancelled •Check Campus Recreation website for Intramurals updates •Check Campus Recreation website for potential closing time changes
•If students are on a Holiday break, Yates Field House and Kehoe Field are closed •If students are at campus: Yates Field House and Kehoe Field open at Noon •LRED, Group Fitness – cancelled •Check Campus Recreation website for intramural updates •Check Campus Recreation website for potential closing time changes

If rain/hail begins during field operating hours, Kehoe Field Attendants will notify participants on site of closure, ask participants to gather their belongings, and leave the premises within ten (10) minutes. Kehoe Field Attendants will ensure all participants have departed, the field is locked, and place a closure sign at the entrance.
If Kehoe Field is under water in multiple locations or flooding has occurred, the field will remain closed or be closed immediately.
In the event of lightning and/or thunder during field operating hours, Campus Recreation will utilize the 8-mile radius protocol.
The protocol states: Once lightning has been detected within 8 miles of the facility, Kehoe Field will be closed immediately. Kehoe Field will remain closed for a minimum of 30 minutes, starting from the most recent strike within the 8-mile radius.
Once lightning is detected within the range of 8 miles, Kehoe Field will be closed immediately. The KFA will encourage all users on the field to seek shelter indoors.
To decrease the risk of cold related injuries, such as hypothermia, it is recommended that the amount of time individuals are exposed to cold weather during exercise be reduced or eliminated.
If the temperature is below 40° F, Kehoe Field Attendants should use the wind chill calculator (http://bit.ly/windchillcalculator) to determine the wind chill temperature.
If temperatures (temperature + wind chill) are below 25° F (23.896° C), Kehoe Field will be closed.
If the temperature drops below 25° F during operating hours, Kehoe Field Attendants will notify participants on site of closure, ask participants to gather their belongings, and leave the premises within ten (10) minutes. Kehoe Field Attendants will ensure all participants have departed, the field is locked, and place a closure sign at the entrance.
If the heat index is above 105° F (temperature + relative humidity), Kehoe Field will be closed.
If the temperature rises above 105° F during operating hours, Kehoe Field Attendants will notify participants on site of closure, ask participants to gather their belongings, and leave the premises within ten (10) minutes.
Kehoe Field Attendants will ensure all participants have departed, the field is locked, and place a closure sign at the main entrance.
The elevated location of Kehoe Field results in higher winds than other field spaces on campus.
In the event of high winds (>30mph), Kehoe Field will be closed.
If high winds begin during operating hours, Kehoe Field Attendants will notify participants on site of closure, ask participants to gather their belongings, and leave the premises within ten (10) minutes.
Kehoe Field Attendants will ensure all participants have departed, the field is locked, and place a closure sign at the main entrance.
In the event of snow, ice, or wintry mix, Kehoe Field will be closed.
If snow, ice, wintry mix begins during field operating hours, Kehoe Field Attendants staff will notify participants on site of closure, ask participants to gather their belongings, and leave the premises within ten (10) minutes.
Kehoe Field Attendants will ensure all participants have departed, the field is locked, and place a closure sign at the main entrance.
