Andre holds a BS in Physical Education as well as a MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has a background in health and fitness as well as athletic performance training with over 20 years of certification and experience in the field. His passion for fitness began through his love of sports and developed as a varsity athlete in basketball. His approach to fitness emphasizes age-appropriate programming with a specific focus given to cardiovascular and strength training in combination with balance and flexibility training. He establishes long-term client interactions with the goal of integrating exercise and optimal wellness into the demands of daily life.
Brian integrates his knowledge as a strength and conditioning specialist in designing an individualized, progressive program of cardiovascular, mobility, core, and strength training exercises for his clients based on their fitness goals. He helps clients master basic functional movements to improve their strength and fitness and to build a foundation for further gains. In addition to his work as a personal trainer, he has served as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for Hoya athletes and has run several marathons.
Christina is best defined as a wellness crusader! She came to Yates with a well-rounded background in healthcare; she is currently a registered nurse, personal trainer (NASM), integrative nutrition health coach (IIN), and pilates reformer teacher. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Columbia University, where she played for the NCAA Women's Tennis Team. Her clients can expect corrective exercises, improved body awareness, strength, and agility in her sessions.
Eshet holds a certification as a NASM CPT and CES. Growing up he loved every minute spent playing soccer and trying to improve himself as a player. In pursuit of advancing his skills, he began incorporating various types of workouts and gained a new perspective on training. For over a decade, he has dedicated ample time to learning about various styles of fitness training. His goal as a trainer is to empower others to fully embrace the habit of a daily workout and attain the everlasting benefits of a healthy lifestyle. He believes health and fitness should be seen as a lifelong goal and not a short-term fix to whatever immediate desire we might have. It is a sure way to gain passion in doing so and enjoy the game of an overall healthy lifestyle!
Glenn has been working in Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physical Therapy for 27 years and as a Personal Trainer for 15 years. "He is a member of the DC and Maryland American Physical Therapy Association and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Glenn also specializes in TPI Golf Fitness and Conditioning, Tai Chi, and Aquatic Therapy. He enjoys coaching soccer and basketball, cycling, cooking, and photography. His favorite physical accomplishment was that he climbed Mt. Washington on his bike.
Joe holds certifications as an ACSM CES and NASM CSS. He received a BS in Movement Sciences and a MS in Rehabilitation Sciences with a focus in Orthopedic Rehabilitation. Through personal experience with health, fitness, and wellness Joe is able to relate to a wide demographic. Once a college athlete, Joe incurred four major injuries that ultimately led to four major surgeries. He has an extensive background in strength, speed, and endurance training. Postural awareness, technique, and precision are key elements in Joe’s approach to all training styles. Joe is always open to taking on any and all clients regardless of physical or athletic ability. He hopes to educate and enhance clients overall lives.
Maegen holds a BS in Biology/Pre-Medical Sciences and a MS in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She also holds a specialty certification as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Spinning Instructor, and TRX Instructor. Maegen has an extensive background in strength, conditioning, speed, endurance, and agility training as she was a former collegiate athlete. Maegen incorporates a holistic approach to her client sessions, targeting all components of health and wellness. Her focus on teaching proper form, posture, and balance helps ensure client's body and spatial awareness while exercising. Maegen aims to educate clients, help them obtain positive behavior change, and create lifelong healthy habits.
Nazinga is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer. She understands the challenges of starting a fitness plan and is dedicated to providing a fun atmosphere for all workouts! Growing up, Nazinga was always involved in sports, but it was not until she started incorporating HIIT and weight lifting routines into her workouts that fitness became her passion. This allowed Nazinga to realize that exercise not only positively impacted her physically, but mentally as well, which inspired her to share this passion with others.
