Susan Sell-Haynes joined the Campus Recreation team in March 2022 as the Facilities Coordinator before being promoted to the Executive Director of Recreation position in September 2022.

Prior to her arrival at Georgetown, Susan was the Director of Sports and Activities at Seoul Foreign School, South Korea. In this position she was responsible for facility management, scheduling, coordination, and oversight for international sporting events. She developed and executed a campus-wide facility utilization strategy that included oversight over designs, renovations, and repurposing.

Susan completed her postsecondary education from Texas Tech University in 2006. While completing her graduate degree, Susan taught physical education and fitness for children, principles of teaching skill themes and movement concepts, and personal fitness and wellness. She was also a research assistant and directed the “Fun & Fit” Childhood Obesity Intervention Program. 

Susan enjoys spending time with her family, running, cycling, and traveling.
