Personal Training Policies

Cancellation/”No Show”
To cancel an appointment, clients must contact their personal trainers directly, at least 24 hours in advance. If your personal trainer isn’t notified within this time frame, this session will be deducted from the session(s) you purchased. In this case, you will receive an e-mail from your Personal Trainer stating this deduction.

Refund/Expiration/Transfer
There are no refunds for Personal Training with the exception of the following:

  • Changes in medical condition that prohibit participation (must provide documentation).
  • We are unable to pair or continue your training due to unavailability.

Any sessions that are not used expire 6 months from the date of purchase and cannot be transferred to another person.

Tardiness
It’s expected that you begin your session on time as scheduled. If you will be more than five minutes late, you should contact your Trainer. Please note: starting late does not entitle you to go beyond the length that the session was scheduled since this could extend into your personal trainer’s next appointment. Therefore, the trainer will use the remaining time left.

Records
Your sessions will be tracked by your Personal Trainer. Your trainer will let you know when you are nearing the completion of your sessions and inquire if you would like to purchase an additional package.

Unauthorized Personal Training
Only personal trainers employed by Georgetown Campus Recreation may provide Personal Training in our facilities. The use of Campus Recreation facilities for outside personal training is in direct competition with the personal training services that are offered within our facility.

Contact the Campus Recreation Fitness & Wellness Program at GUFitness@georgetown.edu if you have questions.
