7 Things Georgetown Students Should Complete to be Campus Recreation Ready

August is coming to a close, which means it’s almost time for our students to be back on the Hilltop. For all of you Hoyas new and old, we want to make sure you’re prepared to take advantage of all the programs Campus Rec has to offer. Complete this Yates Field House checklist when you hit campus to make sure you’re recreation ready!
1. Come by the Yates Memorial Field House
First Step: come check us out. Visit the field house, located on the west side of campus, to tour the indoor pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, golf court, ping pong tables, cardio and weight training areas, and more.
2. Sign up for Georgetown Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports are the best way to get active with a group of friends. Make sure to sign up today to receive information and notifications about which intramural events are coming up! To sign up, visit our IMLeagues registration page here .
3. Come to Group Fitness Promo Week
The only week of the semester when all Group Fitness classes are FREE, Unlimited semester passes are discounted, and you can win some awesome prizes! Fall 2016 Promo Week is August 29 – September 6. Make sure to check out our Facebook page for all the details.
4. Visit the Pro Shop and Get Your Student Discount
Shop the best in Georgetown University apparel, and find all your recreation accessory needs. Plus, all Georgetown students get 10% off Pro Shop apparel!
5. Check out our Student Employment Opportunities
Yates Field House employees over 150 students every year! Find out if you’ve got what it takes to work in Campus Recreation. Browse all opportunities here , and check out the Georgetown Student Employment website for any current openings.
6. Sign up for LRED Classes
Want to learn a new skill? Leisure and Recreation Education offers courses in subjects such as dance, tennis, golf, strength training, and swimming. Sign up through the registrar!
