GU Student

To provide health and wellness opportunities for the Georgetown University community, access to Campus Recreation facilities is free of charge for active degree-seeking students on the Main Campus and the School of Continuing Studies. Students who are not currently enrolled as an active-degree seeking student can still opt-in to the membership fee by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office to authorize the Yates fee to their student account. Payments for the family memberships can be made at the Membership Office by check, credit, or debit card. Proof of marriage must be provided at the time of enrollment. Current student family membership fees per semester are as follows:

  • Spouse or Dependent: $80/semester
  • Additional Dependents: $25/semester

Students in a certificate program may become Campus Recreation members by opting into the student fees. The Student Verification Card must be completed in the Campus Recreation Membership Office to consent to have the Campus Recreation fee added to the student account.

Payments for the family memberships can be made at the Campus Recreation Membership Office by check, credit, or debit card. Proof of marriage must be provided at the time of enrollment. Current student membership fees per semester are as follows:

  • Single: $222.60/semester (paid from student account)
  • Spouse or Dependent: $80/semester (in addition to student account payment)
  • Additional Dependents: $25/semester

Students in the Law School may become Campus Recreation members by opting into the student fee. The Student Verification Card must be completed in the Campus Rec Membership Office to consent to have the Campus Rec fee added to the student account.

Full-time students from other institutions are eligible to join Campus Recreation. Visiting Student memberships are paid by the semester. Payments can be made using a check, credit, or debit card. Memberships can be purchased at the Campus Rec Membership Office. A valid ID and proof of enrollment from the student’s institution are required for membership. Visiting Student membership fees are as follows:

  • $300/semester

Faculty & Staff

All Georgetown University faculty and staff are eligible for Campus Recreation membership. Payment for faculty and staff memberships can be made by check, credit, debit card, or payroll deduction. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office. Current faculty and staff membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $528/year
  • Spouse or Dependent: $720/year (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $100/year

Campus Recreation offers faculty and staff who commute to Georgetown by bike free access to locker rooms and showers and access to towel service and locker rentals. The price structure for these commuters is as follows:

  • Locker room/shower only: No Charge
  • Locker room/shower with half locker: $20/month
  • Locker room/shower with towel service: $20/month
  • Locker room/shower/towel service/half locker: $40/month

In order to qualify for this service, biking must be the primary mode of transportation to Georgetown, and members cannot have a parking permit at Georgetown while using this service. For more information regarding bike commuting to campus, please visit the Bicycling at Georgetown Resource Page.

All MedStar-GUH employees are eligible for Campus Recreation membership. Payment can be made by check, credit, debit card, or payroll deduction. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office. A MedStar-GUH badge must be presented at the time of enrollment to verify membership eligibility. Current MedStar-GUH membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $528/year
  • Spouse or Dependent: $720/year (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $100/year

Monthly memberships are available for potential members who do not wish to commit to an annual contract. Please note that short-term membership fees are non-transferable and may not be used to upgrade to an annual contract. Payments can be made by check, credit, or debit card. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office.  Current Short-Term Monthly membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $190/month
  • Spouse or Dependent: $270/month (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $30/month

Short-Term memberships are available for potential members who do not wish to commit to an annual contract. Please note that short-term membership fees are non-transferable and may not be used to upgrade to an annual contract. Payments can be made by check, credit, or debit card. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office. Current Short-Term Seasonal membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $520/three months
  • Spouse or Dependent: $640/three months (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $70/three months

Alumni

All Georgetown alumni are eligible for Campus Recreation membership. Alumni who are within five years of receiving their undergraduate degree from Georgetown qualify for the Young Alumni membership. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office. Current Young Alumni membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $634/year
  • Spouse or Dependent: $894/year (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $100/year

All Georgetown alumni are eligible for Campus Recreation membership. Alumni who received an undergraduate degree over five years ago and those who received a graduate or doctoral degree from Georgetown qualify for the Alumni membership. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Campus Recreation Membership Office. Current Alumni membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $845/year
  • Spouse or Dependent: $1,200/year (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $106/year

Non-Affiliate Memberships

Campus Recreation offers memberships for those who do not have a direct affiliation with Georgetown University. Memberships are purchased at the Campus Rec Membership Office. Current Friends of Georgetown membership fees are as follows:

  • Single: $1,055/year
  • Spouse or Dependent: $1,562/year (Primary + 1 family member)
  • Additional Dependents: $120/year

Friends members 65 years and older may receive a 10% Senior Discount upon request.
