Campus Recreation at Yates Field House Closure Update

Dear Members of the Georgetown Community,

As we shared with you earlier this week, Georgetown is making all efforts to ensure the health and safety of our community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Georgetown University made the difficult decision to close Yates Field House, starting today, until further notice.

The decision to close was not an easy one, but it is the best path forward to promote social distancing and reduce the density of social encounters by limiting the number of members of our community on campus and reducing the size of public gatherings.

Due to the rapid evolution surrounding the pandemic, Yates Field House is currently working on various logistics as it pertains to the suspension of memberships and membership add-ons, and the collection of personal items from rental lockers.  

We thank you for your patience as the Yates Field House team works to provide answers to frequently asked questions. Updates will be posted to our website at recreation.georgetown.edu. 

Our hearts go out to those around the world impacted by the virus. We thank you sincerely for your support and patronage and we look forward to welcoming you back to Yates Field House later this year.
