Campus Recreation at Yates Field House Closure

Dear Members of the Georgetown Community,

As we shared with you earlier this week, Georgetown is making all efforts to ensure the health and safety of our community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Georgetown University has made the difficult decision to close Yates Field House, beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16, until further notice.

The decision to close was not an easy one, but we believe it is the best path forward to promote social distancing and reduce the density of social encounters by limiting the number of members of our community on campus and reducing the size of public gatherings.

Due to the rapid evolution surrounding the pandemic, Yates Field House is currently working on various logistics as it pertains to the suspension of memberships and membership add-ons, as well as the collection of personal items from rental lockers. We will provide more information in the next several days.

Our hearts go out to those around the world impacted by the virus. We thank you sincerely for your support and patronage and we look forward to welcoming you back to Yates Field House later this year.
