Students

All full time Georgetown students pay a mandated Yates fee each semester, and are automatically members. Full time status is determined by the number of credit hours for which a student is enrolled during the specific semester. For undergraduates, full time status requires 12 credit hours. For graduate students, full time status requires 9 credit hours.

Part-time students may become Yates members by paying the student fees. The Student Verification Card must be completed in the Yates Main Office to consent to having the Yates fee added to the student account. Payments for the family memberships can be made at Yates Main Office by cash, check, credit card or GOCard. Proof of marriage must be provided at time of enrollment. Current student membership fees per semester are as follows:

Single: $222.08/semester (paid from student account)
First Family Member: $77/semester (in addition to student account payment)
Additional Dependents: $22/semester

 

Faculty & Staff

All Georgetown University faculty and staff are eligible for Yates membership. Payment for faculty and staff memberships can be made through payroll deduction, cash, check or credit card. Memberships can be purchased by visiting the Yates Main Office. Current faculty and staff membership fees are as follows:

Single: $528 / year
Family: $720 / year (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $96 / year

Yates offers faculty and staff who commute to Georgetown by bike free access to locker rooms and showers, and discounted access to towel service and locker rentals. The price structure for these commuters is as follows:

Locker room/shower only: No Charge
Locker room/shower with half locker: $10/month
Locker room/shower with towel service: $16/month
Locker room/shower/towel service/half locker: $26/month

MedStar Employees

All Georgetown University MedStar employees are eligible for Yates membership. Payment can be made through payroll deduction, cash, check or credit card. Memberships can be purchased at the Yates Main Office. A MedStar badge and Lawson ID number or GU ID are required to verify membership eligibility. MedStar membership fees are as follows:

Single: $528 / year
Family: $720 / year (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $96 / year

 

Alumni

All Georgetown alumni are eligible for an alumni membership. Membership rates for "Young Alumni" (within five years of their undergraduate Georgetown degree) are as follows:

Single: $634/year
Family: $894/year (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $90/year

Memberships rates for all other alumni are as follows:

Single: $845/year
Family: $1,200/year (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $106/year

 

"Friends of Georgetown"

Yates offers memberships for community members near Georgetown University. There are no initiation fees. Memberships can be purchased at the Yates Main Office. These "Friends of Georgetown" memberships rates are as follows.

Single: $1,055/year
Family: $1,562/year (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $106/year

Friends members 65 years and older may receive a 10% Senior Discount upon request.

 

Visiting Students

Full time students from other institutions are eligible to join Yates. Visiting student memberships are paid by the semester. Payments can be made using cash, check or credit card. Memberships can be purchased at the Yates Main Office. A valid ID and proof of enrollment from the student's institution are required for membership. Visiting Student membership fees are as follows:

Single: $265/semester
Family: $350/semester (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $25/semester

 

Short-Term 

Monthly and Seasonal memberships are available for potential members who do not wish to commit to an annual contract. Seasonal memberships are available for a period of three months. Payments can be made using cash, check or credit card. There are no initiation fees.

Monthly membership rates are as follows:
Single: $186/month
Family: $260/month (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $28/month

Seasonal membership rates are as follows:
Single: $508/three months
Family: $634/three months (Primary + 1 family member)
Additional Dependents: $64/three months

*For the first family member of students, the $77/semester fee is paid in addition to the $213.62 single fee that is charged to the student account. Any payments for family fees can be made at the Yates Main Office by cash, check, credit card or GOCard.
