Recreation Center Supervisor

Russell Goodacre joined the Campus Recreation team as a building manager in April 2022. Prior to his position at Georgetown, Russell worked in several notable jobs in sports and recreation including working with the Military Bowl Foundation, Frederick Keys, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Frederick County Parks and Recreation, Shepherd University Football, and the Shepherd University Student Radio Station WSHC-FM. During his undergraduate studies in Sport Communication at Shepherd University, Russell spent his time working as a student assistant Offensive Quality Control Coach with the Shepherd University Rams football team for three seasons from 2015 to 2017. Russell also spent time as the Co-Sports Director at Shepherd University’s student radio station 89.7 WSHC-FM doing weekday morning local, regional, and national sports coverage for the station.

Russell graduated from Shepherd University Summa Cum Laude, is a McMurran Scholar, and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. After graduating from Shepherd University, Russell was a student in Georgetown’s Sports Industry Management (SIM) master’s program in the School of Continuing Studies and graduated in December 2020. He is an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. Russell’s passion is in sports and he enjoys going to many different sporting events with his family and friends.
