Join Yates Field House at our Summer Tennis Camp for Juniors, an opportunity for junior players ages 7-16 to enhance their tennis technique, play in a structured environment with children of similar levels, and have fun!

The camp is led by renowned tennis professional Starr Foster. Starr has taught at Yates since 2010 and is a Certified PTR instructor.  She played Division 1 Varsity Tennis at Lehigh University from 2003 to 2006, serving as Team Captain for her junior and senior years.  In Connecticut, Starr worked as the Outreach Director for the Norwalk Grassroots Tennis Program and developed and created United States Tennis Association Quick Start Leagues in Fairfield County, serving as a coach and a mentor.  She also coordinated juniors’ tennis tournaments for the USTA New England Winter League and the George Washington Team Tennis League.

2020 Camp Details

Georgetown is making all efforts to ensure the health and safety of our community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Georgetown University made the difficult decision to close Yates Field House, starting March 16, 2020, until further notice. Due to Yates Field House’s closure, the 2020 Junior Tennis Camp has been cancelled.

Yates welcomes players ages 7-16 that have some tennis experience. A typical day at camp may include activities like swimming and ping-pong. Campers should bring a snack, lunch, and a water bottle. A swimming break each day will be provided, so please also bring a swimsuit and towel. A Yates employee will wait outside for campers to be dropped off and picked up each day. Yates Field House indoor tennis courts will allow the campers to receive maximum tennis instruction, no matter the weather!
