Director of Fitness and Wellness

Maegen C. Stoner joined Yates Field House in November 2014 as the Assistant Fitness Director. In February 2017, Maegen assumed her current role as Assistant Director of Yates Field House and the Director of Fitness and Wellness. In her current position, she develops, implements, supervises, and evaluates the Group Fitness, Personal Training, and Wellness programs for the Georgetown community. She additionally oversees the fitness floor and all cardio and strength equipment, The Rack, and stretching areas in Yates. Maegen also serves as the Co-chair for the Student Affairs’ Well-Being Committee.

Maegen received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-medical Sciences from Coastal Carolina University, where she was also a 4-year starter on the Varsity Women’s Soccer team. Maegen additionally received her Master’s degree in Public Health, with a concentration in nutrition, from Campbell University. She additionally holds certifications as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Spinning (R) Instructor, and TRX Instructor.

Maegen thoroughly enjoys the outdoors; cycling, running, hiking, rock climbing, and camping are amongst her favorites. She is an avid foodie, cook, dog lover, shoe fanatic, and antique furniture flipper. An interesting fact about Maegen, she can’t whistle!
