Guest Policy

Georgetown University grants Yates Field House members the privilege of bringing guests into the Field House. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must accompany their guest at all times when using Yates facilities. Failure to accept this responsibility will lead to suspension or revocation of membership privileges. For security reasons, all guests must present a photo ID before being allowed into the building.

Guest fees are $6 for guests of students and $12 for guests of non-student members.  

The following restrictions apply:

  • Members who wish to bring in a guest must obtain a guest pass in the Main Office, or by phone, at 687-2400, during normal Main Office hours of operation. Members may purchase up to 5 guest passes in advance, which they may use at any time, with a maximum of 3 guests per visit. All guests must have a guest pass. This pass-in-hand policy is strictly enforced.
  • Members may bring a maximum of 3 guests per day. Members must be 18 years of age to bring a guest. Members cannot bring in as their guests any type of private instructor. Guest fees are for entrance only and do not include locks, towels or other amenities. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lock for day-locker usage. To control overcrowding, Yates staff reserves the right to limit the number of available guest passes for each day.
  • Alumni visiting campus from outside the D.C. metropolitan area (DC and the contiguous Maryland and Virginia counties) can enter Yates by presenting a GU alumni card and paying the $12 guest fee. These “Out of Town” alumni visitors may bring up to 3 guests for general usage at a fee of $12 each. Alumni residing in the D.C. metropolitan area may purchase yearly memberships.
  • For your protection, please do not bring in, as your guests, individuals who are loitering outside Yates.
