Group fitness classes require a class pass and photo ID. During business hours, class passes can be purchased in the Main Office. After hours, single class cards are available for purchase at the Front Desk. During Promotional Weeks (at the beginning of each semester), class passes are sold for a discounted price.
Pass Types & Prices:
- Unlimited (per semester): $80 non-student / $70 student
- 10-Class: $45 non-student / $35 student
- Single Class: $5
NOTE: Prices listed do not include a 5.75% tax in effect as of October 1, 2014.
*Yates membership is REQUIRED to order a class pass. Guests may participate in any group fitness class IF accompanied by a Yates member. The guest fee is $10/class. This does NOT include the $10 Guest Fee to enter the facility.
Policies and Procedures
- Class passes are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
- Class entry must be accompanied with photo ID. Driver’s license or Georgetown University ID is acceptable.
- No refund will be given for lost or stolen passes.
- Completed and expired passes will be returned to the Fitness Department.

Q: How will my pass be checked at the beginning of classes?
A: Instructors will check and/or punch class passes at the beginning of each class. A photo ID must accompany the pass at every class.
Q: What if I forget or lose my pass?
A: Class passes are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Q: When do class passes expire?
A: Class passes are valid for a full semester. Exact start and end dates are listed on each card.
Q: I would like to “upgrade” my single-class pass to a 10-class pass or unlimited class pass. Is that possible?
A: Yes. You can bring one single-class pass to the main office during business hours and receive $5.00 off the price of a 10-class or Unlimited pass. Please note: the office will only honor one single-class pass (a value of $5.00) toward your upgrade.
Q. I would like to “upgrade” my 10-class pass to an unlimited class pass. Is that possible?
A: Yes. Ask the instructor to return your pass to you after he or she has punched it. You can bring that pass to the main office during business hours and apply the value of a 10-class pass to the price of an Unlimited class pass. Please note: the office will only honor one 10-class pass toward your upgrade.

Q: I ran out of classes on my 10-class pass, the main office is closed, and I want to take class. What do I do?
A: When the main office is closed, the front desk will sell single class passes only. You may keep your single class pass after it is punched and bring it to the main office during business hours and receive $5 off the price of a 10-class or unlimited pass.
Q: My friend/colleague forgot his/her pass. Can they use a punch on my 10-class pass?
A: No. Class passes are non-transferrable.
Q: I could not get to the pass sales table during the promotional week. Where can I get a pass, and can I still get a discount on the Unlimited pass?
A: The discount will be honored only during promo week. No exceptions will be made. After promo week, passes can be purchased during business hours in the Yates Field House main office.
