 GROUP FITNESS Class Descriptions

AQUA AEROBICS

Enjoy the thrills and drills of suspended water exercise. We provide the belts and weights to facilitate total movement. Wonderful cross-training for all other land sports or just enhance your flexibility and strength training. Water-friendly participants of all levels welcome.

ATHLETIC CONDITIONING

This class combines skills and drills with alternating strength training and cardio circuits. May also include plyometrics, sprints and calisthenics. This class can be indoor or outdoor.

CARDIO CRUNCH

Maximize your workout with this interval class! Exercises are designed to get your energy – and your heart rate – up safely and efficiently. Improve your cardiovascular fitness as you challenge your body and get moving!

CARDIO LIFT

A full body workout consisting of high intensity cardio intervals intermixed with strength training to boost your metabolism and burn calories!

CARDIO STRENGTH

A combination of cardiovascular and strength training segments to elevate your heart rate and boost fat burning potential. Cardio drills contain minimal choreography.

CORE

A 30-minute muscular endurance workout for your abdominal and lower back muscles.

FUNDAMENTALS OF BOXING

Taught by a former boxer, class focuses on boxing skill and technique. Class utilizes heavy bags, speed bags, as well as other sport-specific equipment. All skill levels welcome.

HIIT

A strength and conditioning class that emphasizes constantly-varied, high-intensity functional movement. Work cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy, maximizing your performance and fitness for any physical challenge or activity! No experience required.

INSANITY™

A revolutionary cardio-based total-body conditioning program based on the principles of MAX Interval Training.  This class will push you to your limit with athletic/plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance and core training. No equipment or weights needed.

OLDER ADULT TONE

A gentle mix of strength training and stretching exercises designed for the “mature” adult. Move at a comfortable pace with a focus on correct form and technique. All ages welcome, but geared towards the older adult.

ONE STEP BEYOND

Thirty minutes of step aerobics followed by thirty minutes of toning, using the BOSU and stability ball, at a pace preferred by “mature” adults. All ages welcome, but geared towards the older adult.

PiYo

PiYo is a hybrid, athletic workout, which combines the mind/body practices of yoga and Pilates, as well as the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement.  It is a pre-designed class that will really get your heart rate going as it features various styles of yoga and Pilates in continuous movement and flow from one exercise to another.  It is like a hyper version of yoga, but with the benefits of deep breathing, balance, stretching, strengthening and relaxation.

RIPPED

Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, Diet. This workout combines fun and changing cardiovascular routines that are easy to follow and improve your fitness potential. Cardio is interlaced with weights and resistance work to tone your muscles and keep your body moving from beginning to end.

SUNRISE YOGA

Wake up the right way with this early morning yoga class. Each posture and sequence is designed to ensure the body is prepared for the daily activities. Appropriate for beginners through skilled practitioners.

ZUMBA

A fusion of Latin and International music with dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system. It features aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.

SPINNING

An all-terrain ride that will burn calories, build strength, and improve fitness. The energetic music motivates each rider through a variety of speed and resistance challenges. Each class will take you on a creatively designed ride to maximize your fitness potential.

SPIN XPRESS

A 45-minute class designed to give riders an intense, time-efficient ride. All the benefits of a Spinning class – you just get to your destination sooner.

SPIN CORE

A high-energy 45-minute ride with 15 minutes of powerful core work at the end. Add core stability to the cardiovascular and strength benefits of Spinning for an unbeatable workout.

SPIN FLEX

SPIN Flex is a combo class format that incorporates spinning and the use resistance bands. 45 minutes of spinning and 15 minutes of flex training off the bike. Flex focuses on the major muscles groups, mostly paying special attention to the upper body. If you want to challenge and tone your body in a new way, this class is for you.

SPIN TOTAL BODY

Challenge your body with an hour long workout that combines a high energy 45 min ride with 15 minutes of off the bike circuits to deliver a full body workout, strengthening and sculpting your body at the same time!
